Research Assistant - (210000XY)
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Engineering or other related disciplines; (ii) the ability to work independently and collaboratively; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) proficiency in using statistical software; and (v) a good sense of responsibility. Prior experience in working with animals and electrophysiological recording techniques would be advantageous.
The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor John A. Rudd on a research project relating to the control of nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal dysrhythmia. Duties include (a) electrophysiological data recording; (b) performing animal experiments; and (c) assisting in analytical methodological development. The appointee will receive training and work collaboratively with other research staff in the team.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
